Jan (Johannes) Verhoogt began as a knife grinder, later specializing entirely in luxury silver miniatures. In the antiques world, he became world renowned as the specialist in windmills and sailing ships. Very detailed silver miniature, depicting a brick built round well with a high metal arch and a functional chain from which a bucket
