After the Empire of Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, the U. S. government rounded up Japanese American citizens and sent them to internment camps. However, the soldiers of the 100th infantry were granted an opportunity to prove their patriotism. But rather than allow them to stay in Hawaii, they were
